Biden’s DHS Chief Announces He is Opening New Doors For Migrants, Expanding Central American Minors Program as Border Crisis Worsens

Joe Biden’s DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas threw gasoline on the border crisis on Tuesday and announced he is opening the doors for more migrants and expanding the Central American Minors program.

More than 100,000 illegal aliens were detained crossing from Mexico in February because of Joe Biden’s disastrous immigration policies.

The Biden administration is now holding over 4,200 kids in “jail-like” stations where they can only bathe once a week and are reportedly not allowed to call their parents.

The Biden Administration is not only refusing to call the surge of illegal aliens a “crisis,” they are now expanding migrant programs and opening doors for new migrants.

Joe Biden’s DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas announced his plans on Tuesday to “restart and expand” the Central American Minors program which includes rolling out the red carpet and flying illegal aliens into the US:

We are restarting and expanding the Central American Minors program.  It creates a lawful pathway for children to come to the United States without having to take the dangerous journey. Under this expansion, children will be processed in their home countries and brought to the United States in a safe and orderly way.

In addition, DHS and HHS terminated a 2018 agreement that had a chilling effect on potential sponsors – typically a parent or close relative – from coming forward to care for an unaccompanied child placed in an HHS shelter. In its place, DHS and HHS signed a new Memorandum of Agreement that promotes the safe and timely transfer of children. It keeps safeguards designed to ensure children are unified with properly vetted sponsors who can safely care for them while they await immigration proceedings.

Mayorkas also said he will be implementing a program to expedite asylum claims and “enhance access to counsel.”

In addition to improving the process by which unaccompanied children are placed with family or sponsors, we will be issuing a new regulation shortly and taking other measures to implement the long-needed systemic reforms. We will shorten from years to months the time it takes to adjudicate an asylum claim while ensuring procedural safeguards and enhancing access to counsel.

Your tax dollars will be funding flights, food and lawyers for illegal aliens abusing the asylum program.

Mayorkas on Tuesday appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” to speak on the border crisis and bragged about expanding migrant programs.

“I think actually we are (saying) do not come now, give us the time to rebuild the system that was entirely dismantled in the prior administration,” Mayorkas said to liberal George Stephanopoulos. “We have, in fact, begun to rebuild that system. We reinstituted the Central American minors program that provides a legal and safe way for children to make their claims here in the United States under the laws that were passed unanimously by Congress many years ago.”

Translation: Uncle Joe will have even more goodies, freebies and money for illegal aliens once Trump’s immigration policies are completely destroyed.
